The Eastbourne International Singing Competition is a brand-new singing competition for classical singers aged between 18 and 30. The inaugural event will be held from May 31st to June 2nd, 2024 at the Birley Centre in Eastbourne.
Applicants who are accepted into the First Round will perform a short programme of classical singing, accompanied on the Steinway grand piano. Three official piano accompanists will be available and competitors may also bring their own accompanists.
Both First and Final Rounds will be held in front of a live audience and a panel of 4 competition adjudicators. 40 applicants will be chosen to compete in the First Round which will be held in 4 sessions over 2 days.
Tickets will be sold separately for each session at a cost of £15 (plus booking fee). Children of 16 years and under may attend for £7.50 (plus booking fee) when accompanied by a responsible adult.
The adjudicators will select 5 singers to progress to the Final Round which will be held on Sunday June 2, 2024 at 2.30pm.
Tickets for the Final will be priced at £25 (plus booking fee) and £12.50 (plus booking fee) for accompanied children.
